Abortion: The art of killing babies.

I seen a bumper sticker the other day that sayed "If you can read this, you were not aborted, now thank your mother", and it got me to thinking about the issue...

Ya'know, Something has always got me about that. Liberals and their democratic party tend to be into supporting human causes. For the equal treatment of all races and sexes, for welfare, supporting various medical causes, and in support if baby killing. Huh? Wait a minute, back up here, you guys kill babies in your spare time? Yipes!

I know full and well it isn't that simple, but it seems pretty similar. ...

My biggest issue is partial birth abortion. In a quote from wikipedia, partial birth abortion goes like this...

The doctor subsequently extracts the fetus, usually without the aid of forceps, leaving only the head still inside the birth canal. An incision is made at the base of the skull, scissors are inserted into the incision and opened to widen the opening, and then a suction catheter is inserted into the opening. The brain is suctioned out, which causes the skull to collapse and allows the fetus to pass more easily through the birth canal

In laymens terms, the kid is yanked out, stabbed in the head, gets its brain sucked out, then trashed. Ewww!!!

Yet, people, including many libertarians, believe it is a breach of the mothers rights to make this illegal. I see it different. The fetus is a human, or human in progress at least, therefore this would be a breach of its rights to brains. Solved that.

One arguement for this abortion was so "it didn't occur illegally in underground facilities that use questionable methods". That would be like defending the legalization murder by saying "hey, at least you don't have to deal with mobsters and organized crime to get hitmen"

Still, others have told me the mother has the right to its life cause its in her body. That would be fine and dandy if the baby was killing here in some way, but the fact is its sort of the natural process, and hey, it did not get in there all in its own. She gave it permission to enter at one point.

Still, its an issue that i truthfully think everyone is right at, yes the mother has a right to her own self, but the baby has a right to itself to, and the two intrests here conflict. Figure it out.

What is Patriotism?

One thing that bugs me with having political arguements with conservatives is, when you say something that does not agree with what they believe about what the goverment is doing, they label you as "unpatriotic". Disagree with the war? Your not a patriot! Not impressed with the bush administation? You are not a patriot!

But i ask you, when did conservatives patent patriotism? What is your definition of patriotism? There is a big difference between loyalty to your country and loyalty to your goverment. I'm loyal to what this country is supposed to stand for, not who runs it. I am loyal to what the united states was formed under, liberty and freedom.

Why does one praise a flag? In the end, its really just a strip of decorated cloth, but if thats it, why don't we praise tablecloths to? Because tablecloths don't stand for anything, but flags do. The american flag doesn't stand for the goverment, it stands for freedom and liberty. If a goverment has and issue with freedom and liberty, its the one being unpatriotic.

If so, doesn't that mean supporters various bush administration supported laws that violate our freedom and privacy, such as phone tapping, are traitors? That would make alot of conservatives traitors, not patriots.

Heres to you fundamentalist conservatives, who wear patriot costumes while stabbing your country in the back.

A Fourth of July tribute.

This is for all those patriots out their, no matter what your political persusion, race, class, or background...

...the WHOLE national anthem...

-------------------------------------------------
(well known verse starts)
Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
(well known verse ends)

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines on the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved homes and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Amen!

God bless america and all its people!

No Hablo Espanol!

Im not sure if i got that right... anyway

A big issue as of late is illegal immigration. In this episode, i shall demonstrate why i, infact, am right.

First of all, let me outline the problem. Apparently, mexico sucks, because people are willing to risk their lives to avoid waiting until they can be processed legally into the country, which means people come in and don't have to pay taxes, leach of social programs, ect ect ect...

So now we got the left wanting to let it go and the right wanting to kick them out.

Yet again, both sides are approaching this with the wrong attitude.

The left is wrong because, as long as we have taxes and social programs, we can not have people leaching off these programs and keeping the money from natural deserving citizens. Being nice sounds good, but being a push-over is a totally different deal.

The right is wrong because just sending them back is just...stupid. Alot of work and effort that could be handed to more pressing issues.

What should we do to then? When the goverment finds an illegal immigrant, slap a pretty fair size fine on them, then submit them to taxes (+fine=dept for sure) and tell them "welcome to america!" Works! They won't be working for less no more, seeing as they got things to pay for. Done and done! Its not racist, its naturalization! Won't be much different then the average american that way!

Only one more problem, my only big pet peeve... The language problem. One of my un-libertarian believes is in one, nation wide required language. English of course, being the natural language of the states. This is neccessary to keep order. If we all speak different languages, then the world sucks for all of us since we cannot communicate. I say english just be require period. If you can't ask in english, you don't get what you want. Learn real fast that way i assume.

But i guess we could look at the good side of this ordeal, tacos are awesome!

Faith, and why Faith is the most important aspect of belief

Whats this anti-faith thing? People dissing on people who believe in things you can't prove.

But i ask, in the end, can you prove anything? How do you know scientests are not making things up? How do you know that, what is written in history, was not the way it went, but instead a collection of fiction novels of the past? How do you know that jupiter exists? How do you know that life is even real? Faith. You must have faith in all off this, as you can not prove it yourself, without having faith in whoever brought you this information.

Whats wrong with people believing in god or gods? What is wrong with someone trying to make their lifes seem worth while? Faith makes these things, wonderful things, possible. So why feel above these people?

What is the difference between having faith in the bible and faith in history? They are both made of written accounts of people we can't prove had anything to with the events written, with little evidence, but enough to know there is a element of truth to both storys. Yet, we have unwavering faith in history and none in the bible. The difference is people are to stupid to understand what they cannot imagine. Thus god isn't real.

Even if god isn't real, why does it matter that people have faith in him/her/it? If it makes their lifes worth while, thats the purpose. After all, their is nothing life affirming about atheism, the believe that life is worth shit then you die. I rather be ignorant then depressed.

Don't get me wrong, i have no personal problem with atheists, but i don't get why someone would chose a depressive theory over a life affirming one, and why people would want to impress such believes on others. If it doesn't bother you that life is worth nothing and nothing comes of life, thats great, but don't diss those who go for the alternative.

The 9/11 conspiracy, all about the goverment going bump in the night!

I'm not a fan of the goverment. Not this one, not the last one, not the next one. I can not, however, blame it for everything that goes wrong. Im sorry my conspirist friends, i grew up.

I spent last night watching Loose Change(http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501) and pouring over the loose change guide(http://www.loosechangeguide.com/LooseChangeGuide.html). With both sides of the story being fed to me, i was able to come up with a good opinion about it.

I don't think loose change is really that great. It did pretty well with the pentagon, and survived on "squibs" with the towers. The flight 93 part sucked big time, because it reeked so much of conspiracy that it was unbelievable. Most of the movie was taking things out of context, or acting in true conspiracy nature, explaining that the goverment gave us clues. Why would they do that? If i was planning to blow up towers, i probably would not make a handbook for my emergency officials include the towers i planned to blow up. That would be silly of me. Then they go to norad not acting. They really don't prove much in the way of conspiracy in this part, just that norad was on the incompetent side. I mean, this wasn't an everyday occurence, so i figure they figured nothing was going to happen.

I really don't want to go into detail, because the loose change guide is better at it. But ill put in my spare cents. Lets recap. The goverment, using hundred of its own agents, and possibly even proffesionals in the building demolition field, kills thousands of its own citizens in a false flag attack, manages to keep even a peep from coming out of those involve, then shuttles flight 93's passengers and makes them disappear (probably took them to area 51 to meet up with some aliens). Then, they somehow get all the witnesses of the pentagon to change their minds on what the saw, not only that, but tells them all a different story. They also fail to change anything to the witnesses of the wtc was to say, since they all heard the extra explosions(now is the time that the loose change guys go from not trusting witnesses to relying on them, the inconsistent bastards). Then they just make the ground go boom in pennsyvania(oddly half-ass for such a detailed plan).

I am glad they didn't use the bush reading to kids and not leaving like the other ones do. Anyone who thinks this is a point should never been in a place of authority, because getting up, screaming "the world is ending!" and flailing your arms is not what a president should do.

My favorite part is near the end where they do the we are so abused skit. Everyone making fun of them (like these people should) and proving them wrong, and there is no defending themselves, its just "those guys are meanies!". I laughed. It was funny.

Basicly if you believed loose change, your either gullible or mentally retarded.

On a side note, here is a video i found that is a must watch in the subject http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saHs6J0OXVI

I think he is on to something!

Do animals have rights? A somewhat foolish debate.

Not a whole lot to write about, might as well touch another silly subject.

I hunt. I fish. Figured i would put that out there just before i went on.

How should we treat animals. Well, i hate to break it to all those who are advocates of PETA's style of animal rights, but we should treat them how they were made to be treated.

The world is not a nice place. The wild is even meaner yet. The eco-system was not built to be nice. It just works. As such, it is neccessary for animals to be hunted. Some people feel that hunting is cruel. Again, its just life.

We, the humans, are omnivores. Built in such a way that we hunt for meat, but when not able to get meat, we can survive on vegetables. This will make us more fit, so we can hunt better, then the meat will fatten us and give us what is neccessary to live out healthy lives in the long run. In short, meat eating is not wrong.

As such, we are also predators. We hunt. That means that other predators will not like sharing territory with us. Thats why wolfs rarely walk in well populated areas. This means we now have been givin the task, by nature, to hunt the herbivores in our territory. Herbivores are used to this. Thats their lives purposed, to eat and deal with the plantlife while sustaining the predators. The herbivores don't have natural inclination to leave a predators territory, that's why it is not uncommon to see deer around well populated areas. The circle of life. This is the way it was supposed to be. We, as primary predator, we should hunt the herbivores so they don't overpopulate.

So not only is it not immoral to hunt, its actually immoral not to hunt. It is understood by us who do that many who don't just can't handle the notion. Thats ok. We take care of your duty as a member of the world. You should thank us, praise us. Hunters are the good guys.

Other people ask if animals feel pain. I say yes, a lobster in a pot probably feels pain. But they probably don't suffer. You are more and likely going "bwuh?" right now, but i stand by this. I personnally believe suffering is not caused by pain, but by fear of pain. We know we can die, animals aren't granted with such curse. They are thinking "ow! ow! this hurts!". We are afraid it will kill us, they can't understand. Thus they feel pain, but do not suffer from it. Most of what is going on will be reflex.

As for pets, pets should be taken care of because you did not take them in as food, but as a friend of sorts. You would not abuse a friend, don't abuse a dog.

I have killed deer. People have asked me if i felt guilty, well not really. I will tell the story, but warning, this might be just a bit graphic. Not to bad, just a bit.

It is getting dark, im out and getting cold, and as i walk back, a small herd of doe jump infront of me. I rather something more in the direction of a buck, but with one last day ending i figure the meat was worth it (venison rocks, don't question). I shoot at one, i miss. As i load, they look at me(remember, i shot, they just stood there like idiots, "natural selection" stands here pretty well). I shoot again, one jerks up and walks...funny... into the woods a bit, not all there but still going. I go in and find it. (graphic part) Apparently i had deattached its heart from the lungs. Ouch(graphic part over). That actually was my first. I had gotten close before, and had seen others downed by friends and family. Well, being my first, i got hit by a "holy shit! i just killed something!" thought. Being an ever so thoughtful person, i reasoned it out...

...we all kill. Many of us will stomp spiders or kill ants. Pests. but just as alive as anything else. Actually, because it's the hunt we go for with deer and foolish fear with spiders, killing deer is by far more ethical then spiders. Even those who haven't done that have probably taken cold pills or some other medicine. Thats killing. Death is part of life. Its just one of those really shitty facts. We must simply live as we were made, because not hunting further increases the damage we do to the earth, as we do not want that now, do we?

So now you know this, go up to a hunter you know, give him a pat on the back, and thank him for doing the dirty work that nature charged you with.

I salute you all, hunters of this world, heroes of nature!
